Bell Heating & Air is a licensed Texas HVAC contractor serving Brazos, Grimes, and Williamson counties since 2025. We're family-owned by the same team behind Lance Bell Handyman — a home-services business that earned 350+ five-star Google reviews before we launched this HVAC company. Same family, same standards, same insistence on written estimates before any work.
We started this company with one clear mission: become the most trustworthy HVAC company in Brazos, Grimes, and Williamson counties by offering transparent pricing, clear communication, and quality workmanship — every single time. No hidden fees. No confusing upsells. No pressure tactics.
We're a small team on purpose. The people who answer the phone, write the estimate, and stand behind the work are the same people who own the company. That's what made the handyman side of the business work, and it's what we're carrying into HVAC.
Before launching Bell Heating & Air, our ownership team built a reputation through another home-services business — Lance Bell Handyman — that has served thousands of customers, earned 350+ five-star Google reviews, and become a trusted name across Brazos, Grimes, and Williamson counties. Bell Heating & Air carries those same standards into HVAC.
When you call Bell Heating & Air, you're not getting a call center. You're talking to a team of three local owners who actually run the business day-to-day.
Owner — Standards & Operations
35+ years in the construction industry across residential and commercial projects. Lance has served as a general contractor, held plumbing and electrical licenses in California, built homes from the ground up, and completed extensive restoration and remodeling work.
That hands-on background is why Bell Heating & Air pays attention to how mechanical systems actually integrate with a home — load calculations, ductwork condition, and the dozen other things a less experienced installer can miss. Lance lives in Grimes County with his wife and stays involved in day-to-day standards and practices.
Owner — Customer Operations
Background in property management — which means Chris understands what homeowners and tenants actually need from a service company: clear communication, timely service, and reliable repairs that don't turn into a callback two weeks later.
At Bell, Chris applies that experience to make sure systems are serviced efficiently, customer questions are answered clearly, and the people who scheduled the visit are still the people you talk to when the technician arrives. Chris lives in Grimes County with his wife and three children.
Owner — Marketing & Business Operations
15+ years supporting the growth of small service-based businesses. Sean's work has focused on customer communication, reputation management, pricing transparency, and process improvement — the systems that keep a service company honest as it grows.
At Bell, Sean oversees marketing, business systems, and overall strategy — making sure communication stays consistent and the operation stays straightforward to work with. Sean lives in Parker County with his wife and two children.
These aren't marketing badges. They're the floor — every job, every customer, every time.
License #TACLA148393C, issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. HVAC is one of the trades where licensing actually matters — and we lead with ours because most homeowners don't know to ask.
General liability coverage on every job. We can provide proof of insurance to any homeowner or property manager before work begins — most customers don't ask, but the option is there.
Three owners, all local. Same people on the phone, the estimate, and the schedule. No franchise overhead, no rotating subs, no call center between you and a decision.
Every estimate is line-itemed and sent before any work starts. Final invoice matches the estimate unless scope changes — and we always talk through changes before continuing.
Our lead technician is EPA Section 608 certified — the federal credential required for legal refrigerant handling. Most small HVAC shops cut corners here; we don't. Every Bell technician is also background-checked.
Carried over from the Lance Bell Handyman side of the business. We launched HVAC on top of an existing local reputation — and we plan to keep it.
HVAC isn't a guessing game. We measure, test, and confirm the failure before we tell you what it'll cost to fix. The estimate gets written down and approved by you before any parts get installed.
Drop cloths, shoe covers, plastic sheeting where it matters. Your floors and furniture don't pay the price for the repair.
If your system is at the repair-or-replace edge, we give you both numbers: the repair cost and a 10-year operating-cost projection for a new system. The decision is yours. We won't push a new install when a repair makes more sense.
Old equipment hauled, work area vacuumed, mess cleaned. The mechanical room looks like we were never there — except the thing that was broken now works.
Send a note with photos if you can — equipment nameplates, the area around the unit, anything notable. We'll get back to you within one business day.
